Hello Palomino Community! I am excited to continue supporting students in my role as a school counselor in 2025-26! This is my fourth year in PWCS, but my 17th year as an elementary school counselor. Throughout my career, I have always tried to inspire students to have a positive outlook on life, to recognize their ability to make a difference in the world and to always believe in possibilities. I started out as an elementary school counselor in Morganton, NC, where I worked for three years until my first of three sons was born. After taking time to take care of my family, I returned to the field in 2012, serving as a school counselor in my hometown of Fredericksburg, VA where I worked for ten years. Believe it or not, I worked in the school that I attended myself as a child as did my three sons! In 2022, when my youngest son graduated from high school, I decided I was ready for a change and made the move to Prince William County. As a counselor, I believe strongly in building great culture and communication within a school. In my role, I understand the importance of having great rapport with school staff, students, and families; recognizing that it takes a village to raise a child. I am committed to help students grow to be self-reflective, set high expectations for themselves, and be risk-takers to make a difference in the world.
