THIS IS OUR LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL WORK!

It’s been wonderful working with you. This pandemic has truly shown us that working together, anything can be achieved, and I am proud of your hard work and accomplishments. Have fun with these fun activities. I wish you all the best and please stop by next year to say hi to me. I will always be there if you need me.

Mr. Pablo

Let’s have fun learning!

Your task:

READING

  1. Never stop reading! Read for 20 minutes every day over the summer. You can read NON-FICTION or FICTION. The choice is yours but read!
  2. I would love to see what you are going to read over the summer so:
  3. Pick your book.
  4. Take a picture of the cover and e-mail it to me. I will look at it and see if that is the right fit for you.
  5. Plan! Yes, plan your first week of summer reading. Will you be reading by chapters? Will you read 20 minutes and stop? Write down your plan.
  6. Write to Mr. Pablo! Yes, write to me and show me your plan, take a picture of you working on your plan or simple email it to me so I can give you some feedback.
  7. Have fun! As a reminder, my email is: Giudicp@pwcs.edu

WRITING

  1. TIME TO WRITE! Every time you stop for the day, don’t just stop there but follow up with some writing of what you read that day!
  2. You can write: a summary, your conclusion, the main idea with some details, etc.
  3. Write to Mr. Pablo! Yes, write to me and tell me how you did, take a picture of you working on the strategy! Have fun! As a reminder, my email is: Giudicp@pwcs.edu

LISTENING

  1. Finish listening to How Tia Lola Saved the Summer, read by Ms. Lawrence. YES! It’s on the 4th grade YouTube channel
  2. Read the rest of the chapters and enjoy!
  3. There are tons of read-aloud on YOUTUBE. Find the ones you like and read all of them.
  1. Write to Mr. Pablo! Yes, write to me and tell me what read-aloud you chose so I can give you some feedback. Have fun! As a reminder, my email is: Giudicp@pwcs.edu

SPEAKING

  1. Ok, we need to keep practicing speaking! It’s great if you speak your own language at home. Nothing like the feeling of comfort speaking your language which shares so much with the rest of the family.
  2. But we will need to keep practicing English!
  3. If someone at home speaks English, practice with them.
  4. Tell them: what you read for 20 minutes, what read-aloud you listened to, the summary, conclusions, main ideas you wrote in the writing section.
  5. Write to Mr. Pablo! Yes, write to me and tell me what your plan is. How are you going to do speaking at home? I can give you some feedback. Have fun! As a reminder, my email is: Giudicp@pwcs.edu
